A second life for this wine box

This week, Jason’s cycling team, Racing For Research, put on a fundraising dinner for Make-A-Wish. Randy from Bridges Restaurant & Bar in Danville closed his restaurant for the evening and helped us make this a private event. There was a gourmet five-course meal paired with a five-flight tasting of Alpha Omega wines. Jason and Greg really liked the Chardonnay! The winemaker, Jean Hoefliger, was also in attendance to speak about the wine. The dinner and silent auction was well-attended by thoughtful and generous donors.

Wine Box Cheese

I was happy to see a new idea for entertaining. Check out this wonderful second life for a wine box – a cheese display! When Jason receives a half dozen of wine, it typically shows up in a beautiful box like this one. I’ve been saving a few of them in hopes of creating a herb garden, but I can now take one of the boxes and create a beautiful, rustic display of food!
